Ancion-Marx
This is a revolver of the BABY type for velodog cartridges (longer cylinder), the hammer has a ball-shaped spur
It was made in 5 or 6 shots, with checkered ebony grips, nickel plated frame, folding trigger. It was manufactured by the thousands, in Liege, at the turn of the 19th century.
STAMPs
Crowned R: rifled barrel, in use from 1894 to 1968
STAR/ AF: countermark of the controller, in use from 1877 to 1968.
ELG in a crowned or not oval should be discovered on the cylinder (non visible on the photographs).
Markings
L.A.M. in a triangle: is the manufacturer stamp: Léopold ANCION-MARX street Grandgagnage, 28 in Liege (BE 1890/1940)
5,4: Caliber of gun stamped by the manufacturer.
