Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

de Poilsvache L and J., de Poislevache Edgard
de Poilsvache L
It seems it have one de Poilsvache L…. who is perhaps the founder of the manufacture of the springs street Froidmond, 102 in LIEGE in 1867.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any element on this character if they are not the illustrations below
de Poilsvache Edgard
The sior de Poislevache Edgar, industrialist of his state had domiciled in Liege street of Froidmont n° 102. In 1912 it is registered to the 92 of the same street.
Its company founded in 1867 was called “Factory of springs in all kinds” and had made speciality of the springs for weapons. Quite comprehensible in the arms city of Liège.
It also attempted to invent and develop an automatic pistol since 1910 whose seven patents were deposited between 1910 and 1912.
We are unaware of if this weapon were manufactured because we could not meet the least specimen of it.
We know only his representation in the technical drawings of the patents.
Patent n° 223016 of the 04.02.1910 invention of a new system of automatic pistol.
Patent n° 224683 of the 01.04.1910, improvements with the P.A.
Patent n° 228207 of the 13.08.1910 for improvements with the P.A.
The examination of the technical drawings of these patents reveals that the innovation lies especially in the rather new shape of the springs placed in this weapon.
We would be very grateful if a visitor could send a photograph to us of this extremely rare weapon does seem?
de Poilsvache J
With also existed de Poilsvache J…. street of Vennes, 353 in LIEGE which deposited a patent the 28.10.1911 (n° 240232) for a spring of magazine for automatic weapons.
It is probably related with the two precedents by the springs?
