Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

For more detail see: LIEGE GUNMAKERS

DEFOURNY N. (J.?)

Here is a beautiful juxtaposed rifle for pinfire cartridges, of unspecified calibre. Damascus barrels are signed E. Bernard, Cannonier (gunner) DE Paris (as if there was only ONE gunner in Paris......).

We also see N. Defourny, but I find only one active N. J. Defourny in 1855, the period of production of such a rifle; The other members of the dynasty are much later.

I also see only one punch that could be from Liège, EL for the provisional proof, in use since 1852.
