Drisket & Waroux

Rifle with percussion D & W

It acts of a rifle with percussion and back lock with military vocation since an attachment unit of bayonet is envisaged. It resembles the Belgian rifle of infantry model 1853/67 without however being identical. Perhaps a weapon intended for export because I do not see on the weapon any Belgian military punches.

On photo average step to evaluate the gauge of it, often of the 17,1mm.

The mark of manufacturing partially unobtrusive is identified as being that of DRISKET & WAROUX (BE 1856/1872) This company will become then DRISKET André & Co (BE 1872/1876).
