Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

DUCHESNE N.
Interesting weapon since the manufacturer of Liège is unknown for me.
Indeed DUCHESNE did not appear so far in my documentation on the arms manufacturers of Liège of 17th and 18th century.
That still arrives from time at other and it is so much better since that enriches our knowledge.
The weapon which one can date fine 18th beginning 19th century is a flintlock of pocket or bracket, system with boxlock and two barrels superimposed for only one hammer with round throat and greenhouse-stone with not bored notched ball.
It functions with a system called “to tap” i.e. a key on the left side of the box operates a transverse cylinder bored of a gate, which places the coal dust of starter in communication with each room.
The box is marked DUCHESNE à LIEGE on both sides and a safety with slide is fixed behind the hammer so as to fix this one and prevent an inopportune departure.
The grip very round and without asperities, is in drowning no squared.
