Francotte - Pistolet à silex

Pocket flintlock pistol with 2 superimposed barrels.

The basin has two ducts, the small pedal on the side moves the access hole to the upper barrel, or to the lower barrel.

A sliding safety guard on the breech block both hammers.

The trunk is slightly engraved.

The acceptance stamp of the Liège test bench, ELG with 5 stars in a "large model" oval, was used:

(a) from 18.05.1811 to 14.09.1813.

(b) from 18.08.1818 to 11.07.1893.

This weapon is one of the first achievements of the young company, and it is all the more valuable.

The crowned AF crowned is the brand of Auguste FRANCOTTE rue Mont St Martin, 61 in Liège.
