François Gueury

Pepperbox of the type Guillaume MARIETTE of CHERATTE (Liege) improved by François GUEURY arms manufacturer in Cheratte also and which was registered with the prrofhouse of Liege of 1849 to 1851. It then settled in France where he will be the inventor of the ROTOREVOLVER with NOEL.

From 1849 to 1883, it deposited seven Belgian patents of which that which relates to this pepperbox following the main patent deposited by MARIETTE. It was a question of bringing improvements there.

I then however not to detail of which improvements it acts because I do not have the patent.

The weapon comprises four barrels screwed, a trigger with ring with lower percussion, the stick is out of ebony wood with screw of maintenance transverse and two rivet washers with ears, engraved.

All the metal parts of the weapon carry a beautiful engraving of sheets of vine branch.

GUEURY breveté du Roi (GUEURY Patented of the King): to see above. To be able to make state of this quality, it was at the time necessary to be patented by King Léopold Ier.
