The GL mark on the wings of a bee is that of George Laloux.

Calibre .380

Georges LALOUX

It is about a rifle pinfire of draft of Liège. The barrel is with 8 sides. The stick (wood?) English is with cheek. The opening is practiced using a side key. The hammer is posed on the right side. The trigger guard is with volutes.

The weapon carries two punches of the proofhouse of Liege, that is to say:

ELG* in a vertical oval: final acceptance, of use of 1846 to 1893.

EL in English letters: provisional test of 1852 to our days.

The weapon also carries a trademark or the initial ones of the owner, is GL (read so well?) in a vertical oval. Couldn't this mark be identified??

GG

Perhaps George Laloux but NOTHING makes it possible to certify it!!

Punch GL & C° in an oval corresponds to Ets George LALOUX - House founded in 1836.

Coincidence, one of the specialities of this manufacturer was the transformation of weapons of war into weapons of hunting, which corresponds rather well with the illustrated weapon.
