Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Here is a revolver for six pinfire cartridges (probably in 9 mm) marked Meyers Bté. Foldable trigger. Ejector rod sliding along the barrel.

See also on the website littlegun.

The only photographed and identifiable marking is the ELG on a star in an oval, that is, the one of acceptance between 1846 and 1893.

Guillaume-Joseph Meyers, a weapons manufacturer in Liege, filed seven patents between 1866 and 1879. Unfortunately, we do not have the one that concerns this revolver.

It should also be noted that Meyers sold 7 mm rimfire revolvers to the police of the canton of Zurich!

The weapon

It is about a revolver, initially planned for cartridges with pin (see the weapon hereafter manufactured by Stevens), transformed for the shooting of cartridges with central percussion (or annular?)

The barrel is with six sides.

The ramrod of ejection is on the side. The trigger is protected by a round trigger guard.

The plates are squared and the stick ends in a ring of cap.

Punches

They are the punches of the bench of test of Liege, that is to say:

Spangled ELG in an oval: acceptance - use of 1846 to 1893.

R spangled: countermark of the controller - use of 1877 to 1968.

The manufacturer

MEYERS Guillaume Joseph, manufacturer of weapons in Liege deposited 7 patents of 1866 to 1879.

Its a 6 shot rimfire revolver caliber 9 mm. Barrel lenght 150 mm, Total lenght  275 mm, 4 grove rifling right hand twist. The cilinderpin is connected to the ejector rod. This ejector rod acts as a stop for the cilinder pin,so it cannot be fallen out. The military pinfire has the same system.

It acts of a framework and pin revolver closed with reinforcement on the shield.

The barrel is with eight sides with handlebar in half-moon.

The ramrod of ejection is on the side. The trigger is protected by a round trigger guard.

The photographs do not give me any indication as for the caliber and the number of shots.
