MALHERBE Frères
It is a single-gun flint pistol. It is round and smooth (without rifled) and without sighting devices. It is held by a brass bracelet and a wood screw.
The plate so-called "forward" is fixed by the counter plate in brass, with two L-shaped screws.
A hardly legible mark is struck on the latter either an "L" or an "I"?).
The hammer is said "heart" The hammer screw (or hammer nail) is round and pierced.
The core of the breech, the "big spring" is V-shaped.
The iron trigger is straight with oval brass trigger cover. The cap is also made of brass without ring.
The left side of the weapon has a metal bar (iron?) for attachment to a belt.
The stick is made of smooth walnut wood.

MALHERBE Frères à Liège:
this is the brand of the manufacturer mentioned above. These are very little
known and are believed to have been active from 1842 to 1854. There were quite a
few gunsmiths in Liège, and nothing special can better identify the brothers in
question.
The letter “H” in the old letter: this is most likely the
manufacturer’s trademark.
