MANGEOT & COMBLAIN

Extraordinary revolver type MANGEOT-COMBLAIN signed on the barrel "MANJOS COMPLET  PARIS"

This 12-shot revolver (cal. 7 mm ) with percussion has a wooden cross with a lion's head at the knob. We find the same model in Maurice COTTAZ’s 1970 book lot :306.

The barrel rotates on a screwed axis that connects the frame to the barrel; the head of the axis is a conical square. On the left of the frame a button allows to put the hammer safely.

All the pieces are engraved, in acid, with floral motifs, the canon is octagonal.

Total length: 32 cm. No apparent number. The manufacturing is of good quality, the mechanism works well in dual action.

But why the Spanish-sounding signature?  And who made that weapon?
