The weapon carries the lawful punches of the proofhouse of Liège, namely:

EL in English letters: provisional test, of use of 1852 to our days.

Peron: inspection, of use of 1853 to our days.

The weapon also carries the following mark:

P.M. in a circle: Just as it is this mark is not included in the directory of the arms mark of Liège!  According to initial P.M. it could be a question of the mark belonging to Massonet Pascal manufacturer of weapons street of Harlez, 32 in Liège (1895/1904), but it is only assumption remaining to be confirmed.

In appendix: seal of this arms manufacturer.
