Swedish .22 LR Nagant M.1887 revolver.
HUSQVARNA produced a total of 13,732 M 1887 revolvers (including revolvers for
the civilian market) between 1898 and 1905.
Number 8751 presented by Kristopher GASIOR (CollectibleFirearms) was manufactured in 1900. It has been received by H R (Hermann RIBBING)

NAGANT M 1887 calibre .22
For the
conversion of the first models to the .22 calibre, some M 87s from the first
delivery of the Ets NAGANT were also used.
The
manufacturer's double stamp shows that the HUSQVARNA Ets made the .22 calibre
conversion on a revolver manufactured by NAGANT.
The
current M 1887, number 2414 was given, during the conversion, a new cylinder and
a new axle, both numbered 7980.
This
revolver certainly had a long military career. Introduced in 1888 for officers,
it was then transferred to the troop, with its first regimental number. This was
later replaced by a 2nd regimental number, after being converted to a .22
calibre.
