It acts of the rifle 22 C model 1912 - BAYARD of Anciens établissements PIEPER Street of Bayard in Liege.
This semi-automatic rifle was marketed until after war 40/45 and was produced in several tens of thousands of specimens (approximately 150.000)
This weapon existed in two types:
The n° 1 (standard) measuring 980 mm, barrel 485 mm for a weight of 1600 gr.
The n° 2 (luxury) has higher dimensions: length 1010 mm, barrel 600 mm for a weight of 1800 gr. The stick is provided with a handle gun. The weapon is provided grenadières.
Markings of the manufacturer
OLD ESTABLISHMENTS PIEPER: it acts of the second company founded after the death of the founder Henri Pieper in 1898. This company used since 1907 a new factory located at HERSTAL street Petite Foxale, n° 73.
BAYARD: it acts of a trademark deposited the 12.05.1899 by company PIEPER.
