Here is a
pistol with two barrels on table and two pinfire cartridges, of unspecified
calibre. But certainly not very powerful, given the “system” of closure, to say
the least, frustrating....
The whole
- trunk system - is also not very luxurious, but it was certainly functional.
And he’s over 170 years old.....
Except the initials
VC 4
and another number 8717, we can see, on the first photo by looking carefully,
only the classic ELG on star (probably uncrowned), which makes – logically –
bring the manufacture to before 1893.
Concerning
Victor Collette,
to whom the initials
VC are usually
attributed, one finds mainly the famous “gravity” pistols and other more
luxurious weapons. But we needed it for all the scholarships...
