DLB with volutes and idem in a circle: markings of the controllers of completed wood.
Ring with a lion drawn up in the center and Civic Garde 1882 on the circumference: marking of the Civic Guard.
Mark of the manufacturer
The oval mark struck wood and carrying an S L in its center and “Syndicat Liégeois des armes de guerres” (Trade union of Liège of the weapons of wars) is the mark of the manufacturer of the weapon.
The Trade union of Liège for the manufacture of the weapons of war was located to HERSTAL.
It was registered with the proofhouse of Liège of 1882 to 1886. It was founded by the association of the manufacturers of Liège Jules ANCION & Co - DRESSE-LALOUX & Co - Auguste FRANCOTTE - PIRLOT & FRESART.
