FRANCKEN & LÜNENSCHLOSS
Small revolver velodog five shots from
FRANCKEN &
LÜNENSCHLOSS manufacturer established in
Liège (Lüttich) and Cologne (Köln).
Another
F & L
revolver is also featured in this exceptional private collection.
The

PV: powder test, in use from 1898 to 1968;
R
crowned : striped gun, in use from 1894 to 1968
AD under
star: controller countermark, in use from 1877 to 1968.
There
should be a star-shaped ELG stamp in crowned oval on the back of the barrel, in
use from 1893 to 1968, but it has not been photographed.
It can
therefore be deduced that the weapon was manufactured between 1898 and 1914.
