has filed several trademarks with its initials. The -This may have been on 
December 7, 1893.
The mention

Patented in a circle on the right side is 
probably related to the fact that Auguste Francotte had a gunmaker’s patent, i. 
e. that the company had filed a large number of patents. In any case, and 
despite intensive research, we have not found any 
A. Francotte 
patent that could be linked to this gun.
