Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

FRESART
It is about a pistol of pocket called “of cyclist” to one shot and probably calibre 6 mm annular, the calibre not being visible on photographs.
The barrel is tulip with the mouth, the trigger is “with Mexican” and the grips of drowning its entirely squared and joined together by a through screw and two brass rivet washers.
The side lever is used as extractor.
I did not notice any punch of bench of tests Liège or other?
Mention FRESART struck an amount of stick seems it struck letter after letter in a rather awkward way.
Other side mention HUY 1898 is also challenging.
With that several assumptions:
1) It is perhaps about a mention struck there by one of the owners of the weapon?
2) It is perhaps about a weapon of arms manufacturer FRESART Edouard (life 1855 to 1902) street St Gilles 95 in Liege. He was associated PIRLOT Gustave in company PIRLOT & FRESART. They deposited 8 patents of which a system of extractor applicable to the pistols with one shot! It is about the system with visible lever on this weapon, I then the statement without to have seen the patent. But why to have signed the weapon of FRESART only and which was its bond with the town of HUY, quite difficult to say it
3) It acts perhaps of weapon of arms manufacturer FRESART Oscar, brother of precedent, administrator at PIEPER but which one sees badly why he would have produced such a weapon, being occupied like administrative with manufactory PIEPER. It would be then about a private manufacture what would explain the absence of punches of tests.
In short does the question remain open !
