Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

A Flobert
rifle of Liège manufacture with a heavy barrel, a cheekbutt, a Swiss riser, an
adjustable front sight and a volutes trigger guard. The buttplate is thicker
(and heavier) than for a "normal" rifle; the butt is weighted to compensate for
the weight of the barrel.

A rifle
witness of the time (Blessed?) where shooting was extremely popular and
appreciated by the authorities because it contributed to the defence of the
homeland... All the cities had their company(s) of "flobertists" who often
practiced in the back rooms of cafés, even communal shooting.
