F.N. (Fabrique nationale d'armes de guerre) mod. 1910
Calibre 7.65mm (.32ACP)
In 1923 the government of the "kingdom of serbs, croats and slovenes (later known as yougoslavia) ordered 60.000 pistols from FN with 114mm barrel and eight round magazines.
The quickest way to meet the demands involved lenghtening the 1910-pattern frame to accept a larger magazine and adapting the standart slide to cover the long barrel.
History buffs will remember that this was the type weapon used by Gavrilo Princip to assassinate the Archduke Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo, thus igniting the First World War.
The gun was sale by the FN to a gunsmith of "Ostende", who have buy at the serbian terrorist of "La main noire" (Black hand).
