Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Mussen Lallemand Jacques
Here’s a hammerless revolver with safety at the top of
the handle due to manufacturer of revolvers
Jacques Mussen
Lallemand. It’s in 6 mm Velodog. The small
ring in the folding trigger is not common.
I don’t have much thing to add to what already exists on the site.
The markings
MJ Bté:
one of the trademarks of
Jacques Mussen Lallemand,
who filed six patents between 1907 and 1927.
Lion on PV: smokeless powder test between 1898 and 1968
ELG crowned on star in crowned oval: accepted between 1893 and 1968
J and L under star: countermarks of controllers between 1877 and 1968
LD in oval elongated
to Heel of the grips : one might think of
Lambert
Dumoulin, active in Liège rue Bassenge,
from 1920 to 1965, which seems to me a bit late for this type of weapon, but it
is not impossible either since
Jacques Mussen Lallemand
was enrolled in the proofhouse of Liège from 1908 to 1914 and 1919 to 1952.
The only photo available to me so far of the initials
LD
is here :
Dumoulin Lambert and
as you can see, the initials
LD are not in an
oval....
It should be noted that there was also a
Dumoulin
Lambert Fils based in Mortier, who filed a
patent in 1904 on a “reversing revolver closure”, which shows that he was
interested in this type of weapon.
So the mystery remains...
As for the safety at the top of the handle, it is very
likely that it stems from patent 213 898 filed in January 1909 by
L. Gilliquet
at Cheratte.
