Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Nagant 1893 Norwegian
Classic Norwegian NAGANT Model 1893 revolver.
It was manufactured in LIEGE by Emile & Léon NAGANT.
Its lock
is single and double-action and differs from the Swedish model 1887 only in the
shape of the front sight.
The
barrel is round and then octagonal to the muzzle.
The 6-shot cylinder is grooved. The caliber is 7.5 NAGANT.
Loading is via a side door that lowers thanks to the action of an internal spring. Unloading is carried out using the metal rod sliding in the guide integrated into the console.
The wooden grips are finely squared and joined by a through screw and two rosettes. The stock ends in a cap ring.
The weapon bears the regulatory hallmarks of the Liège proof house, namely :
Spangled ELG in a crowned oval: acceptance post 1893.
Spangled P: controller's countermark post 1877.
R crowned: rifled barrel, in use from 1894 to 1968.
Other brands belong to the manufacturer, i.e. :
BREVET NAGANT 325: this mark refers to patent no. 42907 dated 25.08.1877. The origin of NAGANT revolvers is identified by the marking on the left of the console. All weapons manufactured in Belgium by the NAGANT factory bear the inscription "BREVET NAGANT" on two lines, followed by the serial number.
For weapons in service in Luxembourg, this is the only marking required. Guns in service in Norway have a half-moon front sight with dropout.
10152: weapon serial number.
Crowned V: make unknown (Norwegian??).
A: letter indicating the order of parts to facilitate disassembly/reassembly.

I might add that this M1893 was received by Officer NANDRUP (N under crown) as part of a delivery of 5600 pieces, delivered on June 22, 1899.
