Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

REEL F.
It is obviously about a pepperbox pinfire of the type DEPREZ to loading by side door and rod screwed in the handle.
It carries a spangled punch ELG in an oval of use of 1846 to 1893. I did not see of countermark of controller.
The weapon is struck mark REEL and I believe to distinguish a F. in front of the name but which was in the same way made only the first marking. One can thus suppose a late addition?
Who’s Who does not give F. REEL to the XIXe century but 2 at the beginning of the XXe century is:
REEL J, arms manufacturer with WANDRE street Neuville, 19 and author in 1910 of a patent for a revolver REEL system with percussion by piston with rectilinear motion.
REEL J.J street of the Shooting, 2 in LIEGE. It deposited in 1913 a patent for an automatic gun.
These two arms manufacturers seem to me too late to be the authors of this pepper plantation!
