Revolver with double mode of ignition
The weapon
It is about a revolver with box frame with double mode of ignition (Pinfire and central) extremely sails about it at the time of the limited period between the system with pin and that with central percussion.
Several inventors of Liège tried the experiment without success being with go.
The weapon functions only in double action. The hammer is with two types of firing is with percussion with pin with the dish of the head of hammer and with central percussion by the striker placed downwards.
The trigger is folding without trigger guard. The metal stick is covered by two smooth plates, out of wood of drowning, fixed by a screw and two rivet washers at ears.
The barrel is hexagonal with a front sight in barley grain.

The smooth barrel with 6 shots is fixed on a central axis.
Punches
The weapon carries the lawful punches of the proofhouse of tests of Liege, namely:
ELG on star in an oval: final acceptance, of use of 1846 to 1893.
L crowned: countermark of the controller, of use of 1853 to 1877.
Period of manufacture: between 1853 and 1877.
Marks
The weapon carries several marks which are not determining for the identification of the manufacturer, it acts of:
ACIER VISSE: like known as above, it is about an advertising mention.
SYSTEME LEFAUCHEUX PERFECTIONNE (DEPOSE) {SYSTEM LEFAUCHEUX IMPROVES (DEPOSITED)}: another advertising mention, the precision “deposited” does not state that at all the improvement been the subject of a patent.
9464: probably the serial number. It does not indicate with certainty the number of weapons of this type manufactured because classification was often whimsical.
MJ (on an amount of stick): No manufacturer carrying these initial between 1853 and 1877 was discovered, it could consequently act of a mark of subcontractor.
