Some of the most beautiful work of this craftsman, and many others, are in this book “Liège Gunmakers through their Work. 1800 - 1950”.

Scheintod Hahn
This is a curious
Scheintod
revolver (Catalepsy in English)
Hahn, using 12mm
shotgun cartridges!
It has
already been studied on the site, there is no need to go back to it.
It bears
the statutory hallmarks of the Liège proofhouse, namely:
ELG * in
a crowned oval: definitive acceptance after 1893.
AK side
by side and star: countermark of the controller post 1877.
12M in a
diamond: calibre, in use from 1898 to 1924.
The gun has a pretty bad mark that could be displayed
as possibly
L. L. O. ?
Unfortunately, this brand does not match any manufacturer’s brand in the Qui est
Qui de l’armurerie Liègeoise.
