Revolver of the type “BULL DOG” with central percussion and box frame.

The short barrelis round and striped, it carries a front sight in half-moon.

The cylinder with 6 blows is grooved. The rooms are not reamed.

The plates (Walnut?) are squared and joined together by a transverse screw and two rivet washers.

The loading is practiced by the right side door dropping thanks to the action of an internal spring.

The rod swivels on an axis and must be introduced in turn into each room.

The weapon carries the lawful punches of the proofhouse of LIEGE, namely:

ELG on star in a crowned oval: final acceptance post 1893.

R crowned: rifled bore, of use of 1894 to 1968.

J spangled: countermark of the controller post 1877.

The weapon also carries the following marks:

Star JFC in an oval: mark of factory deposited the 12.10.1903 by the factory of weapons JANSEN Fils street Lambert the Stammerer, 4 in LIEGE (see the site).

C crowned on the internal face of the cylinder: it should be a question of a mark of founder of barrel?

RP 1336/77: I do not have any idea of what this mark means, I never saw the similar one. It could perhaps be a question of a mark affixed later (unspecified number of recording?)
