LEPAGE

It is about a revolver with crack whose open one is practiced by simultaneously pushing on the two pedals placed on both sides carcass in front of the hammer.

It is not a question of an invention LEPAGE but well of WARNANT-FRANSQUET Léonard in his patent n° 077533 of the 8 March 1884.

LEPAGE in LIEGE is thus only the manufacturer. It received either license of WARNANT to use its patent or this last fell into the public domain (+ 10 years) what is probable the indication of patent WARNANT not being reproduced on the weapon.

The weapon is equipped with a disc extractor and a round barrel with elevated rectangular front sight in order to correspond to the bead placed in top of the system of unlocking of the rocker.

The stick in pear shape is out of ebony or false ebony. The plates are joined together by a through screw and two rivet washers. The stick ends in a ring of suspension aimed in the metal part of this stick.

The weapon carries the lawful punches of the bench of tests of Liege, that is to say:

ELG* in a crowned oval: acceptance post 1893.

M*: countermark of the controller post 1877.

L crowned: is not a mark of the bench of test, its origin is discussed, the assumptions are varied as the mark of a foundry, or Lepage in this case but I do not have any certainty.
