Lepage “Mitrailleuse” (machine-gun)

It is about a revolver with central percussion and box frame. The grooved and striped cylinder comprises 12 rooms calibres 6mm velo-dog of it seems it. This model was called “Mitrailleuse” (machine-gun) by certain manufacturers in evil of sensational publicity! The cylinder is withdrawn by the removal of the rod and the central axis. The barrel with 8 sides carries a front sight in half-moon to the ¾ its length. The grips consists of two plates out of wooden (walnut?) squared and joined together by a screw and two rivet washers.

The weapon carries the lawful punches of the proofhouse of LIEGE, namely:

ELG on star in a crowned oval: final acceptance post 1893.

Coupled AH and spangled: countermark of the controller post 1877.

R crowned: rifled bore, of use of 1894 to 1968.

PV surmounted of a stylized lion: test with the powder without smoke, of use of 1898 to 1968.

The weapon also carries the following marks:

LEPAGE A LIEGE: mark of the well-known manufacturer.
