HERMAN & PARENT

Semi-auto pocket pistol, probably in the 6.35 mm caliber, manufactured by the Auguste FRANCOTTE company on basis of a patent granted in 1913 to Emile HERMAN (who is curiously not registered in the Who's Who of the Liège Armoury) and Charles Parent (reg 1912).

Markings: A. FRANCOTTE à Liège.

Patent 19141: this is a mystery, for this patent does not appear in the list of numerous Francotte patents.

Apparently, this pistol was developed by Emile HERMAN and Charles PARENT, holders of patent 257794 dated 19.06.1913 covering that weapon.

So FRANCOTTE was only the manufacturer, not the inventor.
