Lebeau - Courally FALSE

Here is a beautiful superimposed rifle of Liège manufacture, platinum, beautiful English lacrosse, with a beautiful work of engraving. The only "hitch" is that we wanted to attribute this rifle to the famous house Auguste LEBEAU-COURALLY. Which confirmed that the gun didn't come out of her house.

Of course, we will never know the manufacturer, since a forger does not - logically - sign his "works"...

Markings

1kg385 : barrel weight

Annual letter "m" underlined: this rifle was transferred to the Liège proofhouse in 1974;

s under asterisk: countermark of a controller, in use since 1877;

12-70 in omega-coated: the caliber and length of the chamber, in use since 1924;

PV surrounding the porch in a crowned oval: superior proof for smooth-barrel rifles, in use since 1968;

MAGI: this is the MAGILISSEN barrel garnisher; it is mentioned in the website.

The company "Le Fusil Liégeois" is an import-export company specialized in weapons and ammunition and their accessories, rue de Mulhouse 31 to 4020 Liège, directed by a certain C. Nadeau (another reference speaks of 33 rue de Mulhouse).

A member of the team also expressed doubts about this marking: he thought it was "ugly", not regular, not aligned. You should be able to compare it to another weapon. I found a few of them on the web, but without pictures of the markings.
