RAICK Félix

(Enrolled in the proofhouse of Liège 1866/1894)

Successor RAICK Frères 1895/1922 “Manufacturer” Successor to Felix RAICK. Branch office in London.

This large revolver made by RAICK Frères in Liège was the weapon that accompanied Felix Raick on his travels.

He travelled extensively during the golden age of the Liège armoury to promote the arms manufactured by the firm to armourers or private clients, often prestigious. (see photo : the two characters in the center are Felix Raick, with the white cap, and the character with the big beard is Liev (Léon) TOLSTOI !!!), photo taken in Tula in 1896.

The gun was found in his trunk, loaded with 5 bullets in the 11 mm War; although greased, it suffered a little, and the bridge was not secure.

The gun bears the hallmarks of the Liège proofhouse, and the name of the firm. It’s been heavily worn, and the grid is slightly attenuated below.

Weight: 490 gr

With the permission of “medvedbel” (Naturabuy) whom we warmly thank.
